Pay attention to the materials used
Our quest for eco-responsibility leads us to a decisive criterion: the choice of materials. Not all materials are equal when it comes to their footprint on our planet.
Some materials are more CO2-intensive as they require more natural resources (water, energy).
As a pioneer of responsible fashion, the FAGUO brand seeks to favour low-carbon materials, minimising their contribution to global warming. Among the materials we use, we champion recycled materials — those unsung heroes born from our waste and end-of-cycle products. Their superpower? Minimising the exploitation of new resources, giving value back to waste that deserves a second life, and reducing FAGUO's carbon impact.
We have also chosen to be transparent about the carbon footprint of every item sold. You can consult this information directly on our site, on the relevant product page, or on the labels of our clothes, shoes and accessories.

A classic pair: 14,954 kg CO2 / unit
A FAGUO pair: the Beige and Khaki LUMBO: 6.1 kg CO2.
The FAGUO brand is committed to reducing its carbon footprint, aware of the textile industry's impact on the environment.
That is why we have chosen to use an increasing proportion of organic materials in our products. Organic materials, such as organic cotton, are grown without chemicals, which helps preserve soil health and ecosystems. Furthermore, they require less water than conventional farming.
At FAGUO, we are convinced that the use of organic materials is an essential lever for reducing our environmental impact and combating climate change. That is why we are committed to continuing our efforts in this direction by increasing the share of organic materials in our products, as demonstrated by our BRIX chino trousers. This chino is made from organic cotton (75%) and recycled cotton (23%).
By dressing in FAGUO, you are making a gesture for the planet by reducing your carbon footprint and contributing to the preservation of natural resources.

Check the countries of manufacture
One key criterion for selecting clothes that respect our planet is the country of manufacture. The environmental impact can vary considerably depending on where garments are produced.
This factor is strongly influenced by what is known as the energy mix of the producing country — in other words, the composition of energy sources used to meet national energy needs. An energy mix focused on low-CO2 sources indicates a country more committed to the climate.
With this in mind, at FAGUO we prioritise working with countries whose energy mix tends to reduce their carbon footprint: countries that want to reduce the use of fossil resources (coal, gas, oil...) and that are developing renewable energies.
Choose pieces that favour a responsible mode of transport
Another important dimension in choosing environmentally friendly clothes concerns the mode of transport used. Indeed, according to the French Ministry of Ecological Transition, in France in 2023, the transport sector generates 32% of total greenhouse gas emissions, with aviation among the biggest polluters.
At FAGUO, we ban air transport in favour of sea freight, which is less polluting than air travel. Sea transport is also better suited for moving large volumes of goods, minimising the number of journeys required and reducing CO2 emissions.
By choosing items that travel by sea, you actively contribute to reducing the ecological footprint of transport and encourage cleaner, more sustainable mobility practices.

To continue our mission to combat climate change, the production of our products must respect the environment and high social standards.
For example, we chose to manufacture our LUMBO sneakers in Portugal, a country that relies predominantly on electricity for its total energy consumption.
But our commitment does not stop there. We work with manufacturing workshops to help them equip themselves with renewable energy. We actively encourage the use of clean and sustainable energy, such as photovoltaic solar energy.
And we are proud to see that some of our workshops have already taken the step and now produce part of their energy through solar panels.
Embrace eco-responsible fashion with FAGUO
The idea of environmentally conscious fashion is gradually becoming a tangible reality. The equation is simple: dressing with timeless pieces while showing respect for the environment and its inhabitants.
To start, a few basic principles are enough: opt for conscious consumption, pay attention to the materials used, ensure the provenance of products — the energy efforts made by workshops and audits revealing high social standards — and favour items that promote responsible logistics.
FAGUO is committed to this path by offering a range of responsible clothes and trendy sneakers, pleasant to wear, and at fair prices. We invite you to explore our collection of environmentally friendly clothing on our site, and to join our mission by taking a stand against climate change right down to the choices in your wardrobe.
