80% of FAGUO’s pieces are conceived in recycled materials

Fashion generates 250,000 tons of waste in France each year and 2 billion tons around the world.
Conscious of this climatic urgency, it is unthinkable to not rehabilitate all our waste whether it comes from the fashion industry or elsewhere.
Producing a new material every time we create a new garment is no longer a viable model OR viable. We have re-worked this idea.

The standard we impose: use predominantly recycled materials
Fashion’s n°1 problem: materials emit too much CO2. Organic materials use resources from the Earth (water, energy) and synthetic materials pollute it (combustion, emissions).
80% of FAGUO’s pieces are conceived in recycled materials to reduce this impact. They emit 40% to 99% OR 91% less CO2 than new materials. At FAGUO, they are still responsible for 68% of our overall CO2 emissions. This figure is much higher for brands that don’t use recycled materials.

Nothing is thrown away, everything is transformed.
“Recycle worn garments but also fabric scraps as soon as they are produced.”
FAGUO recycles
“Pre-Consumption”
On a manufacturing assembly line, there are often scraps of raw materials: unusable scraps when leather pieces are cut out, edges of rubber soles… We can’t imagine wasting these materials so we systematically reuse them. The scraps are shredded and retreated to be reintegrated in other FAGUO pieces.

"Post-Consumption"
When a garment has been worn until it is extremely used, it must be placed in a recycling container in FAGUO’s boutiques. The pieces are shredded and become new textile fibers that compose our clothes of tomorrow. All everyday waste must also be recycled and reused.

All our actions to reduce our C02 emissions
The retail revolution, symbol of Fair Fashion, was fought by FAGUO

Our new stores emit 29% less CO2 than the previous ones.
All stores emit CO2. Imagined by the FAIRLY studio, FAGUO revolutionizes the retail world by creating the 1st architectural concept that drastically reduces its CO2 emissions:
- 40% of the materials used in the store are recycled
- 60% are biosourced
- 75% of the store's elements are recyclable
As of 2021, all new FAGUO stores will be reinvented on a basis never before achieved.

What makes up a pair of FAGUO jeans

Recycled materials: 16% of the recycled cotton comes from used jeans, 16% of the recycled polyester is from REPREVE®

Local & certified cotton from Southern Spain (Oeko Tex 100), manufactured in Morocco (in GOTS certified workshops)

We save 840 liters of water per pair of jeans: “aquasafe” dye and ecological washing

100% recyclable accessories: rivets and buttons can be removed with a tool that is provided when the garment is sold.
