MEASURE OUR CO2 EMISSIONS

Inputs correspond to what is necessary to our activities of production, logistical activities and our commercial activities at FAGUO. Elements of this category include all of the emissions generated during the fabrication of the product : since the extraction of the materials to the end of the factory.

The input factor is the bigger factor, which and represent 72% of our global emissions in 2015. Let’s zoom on the carbon dioxide emissions linked to the different steps of the creation of a FAGUO piece : Primary materials, packaging, tagging, logistical management, business trips, communication, and different consumables linked to our activities.

THE MEASURE OF THE IMPACT OF OUR PRIMARY MATERIALS

Primary materials represent 87% of the global emissions linked to inputs. Cotton represent a quarter of the necessary primary materials to the production of FAGUO pieces. In the meantime, this primary materials include greenhouse effect gas emissions that are heavy for the atmosphere, because of the quantity of the products they use to grow. In 2015, cotton represent 28% of the carbon balance of FAGUO. Since this date, figures encourage us to make choices and prioritize the use of recycled materials into the conception of our products, and allows us to importantly reduce our emissions.

It’s important to see that even if rubber is the first material used ( 44% of the quantity ) its impact is relatively low and represent 15% of the generated emissions. This material is able to save more greenhouse effect gas than his production emits. Leather and suede represent less than 10% of the emissions. Considered as a farming material, leather has a low factor of emission.

The prototypes step of our products emits 1% of emissions linked to the input post.

TO MEASURE THE IMPACT OF PACKAGING AND TAGGING

At the heart of the inputs, packaging and tagging represent 8% of our emissions in 2015. From this moment, we settled a program of reduction for the packaging, while using recycled and recycling materials. For our future carbon balance, we will be able to measure again our progress linked to this evolution.

TO MEASURE THE IMPACT OF ESSENTIAL EXTERN SERVICES TO OUR ACTIVITY

Services of subcontracting in the production environment, from stock managing, telecommunication, financial services, to assurances, or even audit represent 10% of the carbon balance of FAGUO. To reduce our emissions, we tried to work with responsive partners through collections when it is possible.
