FAGUO is B Corp™ certified

FAGUO is B Corp™ certified

As a B Corp™ certified mission-driven company, we are part of a global community of businesses that uphold high standards of social and environmental impact, governance, and transparency. This certification attests that our practices have been independently assessed across our entire value chain.

In 2024, the date of our last audit, FAGUO achieved a score of 95.6 points, marking a 12-point improvement since our last certification in 2021. This progress reflects our ongoing commitment to developing an ever more responsible model for people and the planet. Our commitment is assessed every 3 years, so we will be back in 2027 to measure how far we have come.

B Corp™ is an internationally recognised certification. It is not about being the best in the world, but about becoming the best for the world.

To be among the 9,300 B Corp™ certified companies worldwide, including 500 in France, companies must pass a rigorous assessment comprising more than 200 questions. Each answer must be supported by concrete evidence, covering areas such as wages, production, suppliers, the environment, governance, and much more.

Our B Corp™ score reflects the excellence of our practices and our commitment to serving, every day, our brand mission: "Engaging our generation against climate change."

Guarantor of social and environmental performance and transparency

Engaging our generation against climate change. Our mission means we will never compromise between fashion and responsibility.

As a B Corp™ certified company, FAGUO selects its workshops according to high social and environmental standards. A fundamental commitment for the men and women who work with FAGUO, but also for the planet.

Our Mission-Driven Company white paper

Selecting expert service providers who are guarantors of the made how at FAGUO.

Like other brands working to create positive wardrobes with the least impact on the planet, we select workshops for their expertise in order to create quality products from recycled and durable materials.

Our supplier charter

Audited and certified, we commit to working, without intermediaries, with expert garment workshops.

The "made how" of a product: a climate urgency.

We are often asked about 100% made in France. The debate is often incomplete: beyond where we produce, what matters most is how we do it, across the entire supply chain of our pieces.

By developing an international model that is conscious of the real climate challenge, FAGUO reinvents its entire supply chain to emit as little CO2 as possible, with expertise in Vietnam, Morocco, China, Portugal, and France.

In the interest of complete transparency, we test the performance of the FAGUO model and make the results available to our customers. Like the iconic brands we admire (Patagonia, to name one), our B Corp™ certification demonstrates that our model is a responsible one.

We are not perfect, but we are constantly striving to improve. To that end, all information about FAGUO is available on our website: Carbon Footprint, Life Cycle Analyses of FAGUO products...

Raw materials: 70% of the climate problem.

Contrary to popular belief, emissions linked to the transport of our products are very low (2%) compared to those generated by raw materials (68%): growing them, processing them, weaving them, assembling them...

Carrying out a Carbon Footprint® assessment also helps put things in perspective: a raw material sourced from Europe by road emits more CO2 than a similar material coming from Asia by sea.

Tackling the heart of the problem.

Our industry continues to use the Earth's resources while generating ever more waste.

80% of FAGUO pieces are made from this waste: recycled materials that limit resource use and emit between 40% and 91% less CO2 than virgin materials. We choose recycled materials as systematically as possible, and as close to the workshops as we can: natural rubber from Vietnam, leather from a Gold-certified tannery by the Leather Working Group...

Guaranteeing the durability of our products.

Emitting less CO2 also means creating a product that lasts.

Even before FAGUO pieces are manufactured, physical and chemical tests on the materials are carried out in the laboratory.

FAGUO partners with workshops that commit to and sign guarantees to ban substances harmful to people and the planet.

List of banned substances

Chemical testing.

To guarantee our customers' health and protect the environment against risks linked to chemical substances, we work with German laboratories TÜV SÜD, which carry out tests on samples before production and on finished products with their final materials.

We are confident in the quality of TÜV SÜD's tests, which guarantee verification and quality in compliance with their internal code of ethics. In this way, all FAGUO products are designed in compliance with European REACH standards.

Chemical test of our HAZEL

Mechanical testing.

A battery of tests is carried out by the laboratory: the peeling test: to ensure the material does not pill.

The colour test: to check whether the colour holds over time and does not fade.

The washing test: to check that the product does not lose its shape.

The flexibility test: the product is stretched for nearly 48 hours, that is more than 35,000 to 50,000 times, to check that the seams hold.

Professional equality index

At FAGUO, we move forward with facts and concrete commitments. That is why, as every year, we publish our Gender Equality Professional Index.

In accordance with the law of 5 September 2018 on freedom to choose one's professional future, this index aims to advance equality between women and men within companies.

For the year 2025, our score is 99/100, up one point from 2024. It breaks down as follows:

  • Pay gap between women and men: 39/40
  • Gap in pay rise rates: 35/35
  • Pay rise on return from maternity leave: 15/15
  • Representation among the highest earners: 10/10

These indicators highlight the actions we take every day: pay equity, support for career development, and attention to equal opportunities at every level of the company.

99/100 is a milestone. This score highlights our collective commitment. But it is not the end goal.
We continue to question our methods, adjust our practices, and progress with the ambition of ensuring an ever more equitable and inclusive working environment.

Doing better, at our own scale, every year
