Second-hand & Repairs
By doubling the use of a garment, its CO2 emissions drop 44% for its entire lifespan.
Second-hand pieces and repairs
As a pioneer in reducing CO2 throughout the entire life cycle of its products, FAGUO helps clients have ecological practices by offering free services in its boutiques.

Tastes change, that’s the way things are.
So FAGUO pieces don’t have an impact on the planet, FAGUO boutiques take back no-longer-worn FAGUO garments in its second-hand corner.
If they are in good shape, we collect them and offer a voucher (up to 20% of the garment’s initial value). Other FAGUO clients might want to buy these rare “gems”. We resell them at a second-hand price in our boutiques.
If they are too worn out, a recycling container will help give them a new life.

Repair rather than throw out
A vital mantra to extend our garments’ lives and limit their impact on the climate.
To simplify our clients’ lives, we organize free, twice-monthly repair workshops in FAGUO boutiques.
We repair any small rips and give a new life to any FAGUO pieces that need them. Contact the boutique nearest you to know more.

Clothing maintenance, not so trivial
Caring for clothes (washing and drying) represents half of each piece’s impact on the environment (Source ADEME (2020)
In FAGUO boutiques or on our web site, it is our responsibility to advise customers on the best practices for reducing their garments’ carbon footprint while extending the piece’s life.

At faguo.fr and in our boutiques, we sell Guppyfriend washing bags: the first practical solution against micro-plastic pollution when synthetic clothes are washed.
Guppyfriend is a patented, scientifically-proven solution that:
- reduces fiber-breakage and protects garments.
- keeps the broken plastic fibers inside the bag
- doesn’t lose the plastic fibers
- reminds us to look after our clothes and consume differently.
“The clothing industry sells 3 billion garments every year in France and 100 billion garments worldwide. This also means 250,000 tons of waste generated in France and 2 billion tons worldwide.”
FAGUO recycling containers

Our clothes today are also those of tomorrow! Producing a new material each time we create new pieces is no longer a viable model.
FAGUO puts a recycling container in each of its sales points to encourage regular recycling. We envision a fashion that is completely circular: today’s “waste” will be tomorrow’s raw materials.

When pieces are not too worn out, they are sent to the second-hand market.
Everything else is recycled. Shoes and sneakers, more difficult to recycle, are sent to a specialized factory.
All these recycled materials will become new garments or else insulation for buildings…
In my wardrobe, there is …

Sort out your things. The best way to know what you really need is to go through your closet. What pieces haven’t you worn in the last 6 months?

Repair. Among the pieces you have sorted out, can some be repaired? Wear them again before putting them in a recycling container.

Donate or resell. Among the pieces you no longer wear, can some make someone in your entourage happy or else be given to an association? Can you resell them?

Recycle. Pieces in your closet or drawers that are too worn out can be put in a FAGUO recycling container.
FAGUO initiated an alternative movement that encourages more reasonable consumerism: the Make Friday Green Again collective.

This is the 1st alternative to Black Friday and brings together over 1200 brands to help make the largest number of people aware about climate change.
